Ganguly turns 50

Wishes for Ganguly came pouring in on social media from his former team-mates. Tendulkar told a curious story about always having called Ganguly ‘Dadi’ instead of ‘Dada’, as he is commonly known, since he met him at a camp in Indore when they were young. Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif, who both came into the Indian side under Ganguly’s captaincy, credited him as a mentor. Dinesh Karthik, who debuted under Ganguly in 2004, called him a man who “changed Indian cricket forever”.
